The purpose of this Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service program is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic participation through service and volunteering. Programs should focus on disaster services, education, environmental awareness, healthy futures, economic opportunity, or veterans and military families.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Public or private nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, government entities, Indian Tribes, labor organizations, partnerships and consortia, and intermediaries planning to subgrant funds awarded.
FUNDER MATCH REQUIREMENT:
24% for the first three-year funding period. Starting with year four, the match requirement gradually increases every year to 50% by year ten.
