No one grant writer is qualified to develop proposals for all of the domains and genres of grants available in the US. Qualified writers will have written and been awarded grants in the industry sector you serve (and/or the funder you are attempting to pursue). Grant award track records and specific industry experience are key. Successful grant writers will be able to explain their relevant job experience, higher education, and the training they’ve completed to be successful at proposal winning. Writers are typically masters’ degree level educated, industry professionals who are uniquely skilled to prepare detailed program designs and budgets, logistical implementation plans, and compliance methodology aligned with funder regulations.
