Grant registration system requirements can be found in the RFP and application instructions for the grant you intend to pursue. For federal grants, most applicants require a UEI number and then SAM.gov and Grants.gov registration. Depending on the funder and RFP, there can be additional portals requiring registration, such as eRA Commons and Justgrants. State and local funded grants may also have their own submission portals. Because registration can take days to weeks in advance of deadlines, the sooner you’re able to tackle registration, the better.
